Training

Training Philosophy

My training is pretty simple, I like to get into a routine so that I know where I am going to be and when I am going to be there, and then I like to stick to it! At the minute, I am splitting my time between training at home in Oxspring (because everyone definitely knows where that is) on my own, and training with Jack Maitlands squad at Leeds Met University.

I am currently spending 5 days a week in Leeds and 2 days at home, which works pretty well and I am really benefiting from the training group up there. I have also recently joined Malcolm Brown's running group, which should help bring on my running form! Currently, I am swimming 4 to 5 sessions per week, totaling between 20 and 25K's, I am aiming to ride 400-500km a week, and running 100-120k's per week, including treadmill and track sessions.

I do a lot of stretching (they make me do it), and I like to get in 2 Strength and Conditioning sessions per week. Thats pretty much it really, I spend the rest of my time nerding it up on Facebook, sitting in café's, or playing around with music - most of the time I'm just thinking about getting the next session done though!
